This is my entry to
I chose earth because the first thing I thought of when I thought about it was that it's the giver and taker of life - all the plants grow from earth, and in the end, when they (and other living creatures, obviously) die, they end in the earth again. I guess there's something really powerful about that. In this picture I wanted the woman to "blend in" with the ground and roots, as if she had actually risen from the ground and will disappear again. She's picking the leaves from a young plant - taking the life from something she gave life to. I wanted her features to be kinda vague, too, so there's not that much detail on the face.
